"STYLE-without it, you're nobody" - Diana Vreeland

Last Thursday I visited Museum of the City of New York to see their exhibit  "Notorious & Notable: 20th Century Women of Style".
They featured 80 prominent women from Jacqueline Kennedy to Gypsy Rose Lee who all captivated the world with their intelligence, wits, and impeccable style.

(This black gown was one of my favorite looks. It's Tina Chow, who was known for her love of vintage pieces =). She's wearing  "Homage to CoCo Chanel" by Karl Lagerfeld. All of the accessories are actually embellishments of the dress!)

(This blue dress was another favorite , worn by the gorgeous, legendary Lena Horne. Attributed to Giorgio di Sant'Angelo)

I wasn't permitted to use a flash, only my camera phone, so I apologize for the poor quality of the pics .
If you are in the city of New York anytime soon , check out this brilliant exhibit before it ends January 2nd and be sure to tell us your favorite style icon.

"Style is primarily a matter of instinct"

Well, these photographs definitely didn't come out as good as I intended. First off I blame my dad who acted as my photographer, he was antsy, trying to rush the process. Also, I hate posing for pictures which usually results in me appearing extremely awkward. I apologize for the awkwardness, LOL.

By the way, I bought this blazer from a vintage thrift store over the summer. It has definitely become one of my favorites and I wear it often. Unfortunately as we move closer to the winter, it is becoming entirely too cold to wear. I was freezing last Thursday when I wore it to class.
